Getting old is not for sissies! After heart surgery last December, I've now been diagnosed with severe obstructive airways disease. Working on it with inhalers, very out of breath. Ron has knee problems.
Our newest cat, Molly, picture below. We still have Freddy, Angel (aka Fatima or Chubby) and little Elsie.
February: Riverdance in Charlotte! As of February Nancy is still recovering from open heart surgery last Dec. 1, triple bypass and replacement of mitral valve. Cardio therapy for 3 months.
March: trip to Live Oak Florida where Lauren, Robbie and I went to the Suwanee banjo camp.
April: La Traviata in Charlotte. For my birthday on May 10, I bought a "new" old tenor banjo, an Aria, from an Irish musician, apparently it was played on Broadway in the original Oklahoma. Sold my Harmony Deluxe tenor. I sold the Aria also. Also bought a fabulous 1930s Bacon and Day banjo, see photos. Very fancy! And a beautiful Harmony Butterfly.

September: banjo friends Robbie, Lauren and I spent the weekend in Raleigh North Carolina for the annual International Bluegrass festival. Videos here. There are photos of my banjo collection here.We are enjoying our new cat Molly. She was 2 years old on Feb. 14.
