A beautiful spring, flowering shrubs surrounding the house.

 

February: Went with Christa Kruger to a ballet performance of Swan Lake, spectacular.

 

March: Banjo friends Robbie from New Zealand and Lauren from Florida went to the Kruger Academy. Great weekend and another on-stage performance by the "Deep Gap" band, Nancy playing autoharp. Robbie came in early and we saw Balsam Range at the small Mt. Airy theater.

May: My 77th birthday May 10. Ron was 77 July 26! Yikes, where did the time go. My 60th high school reunion is in October.

 

July: Flew to Palm Beach to see Lauren for a couple of days.

​

September: Return visit by Robbie and Lauren and we went to IBMA in Raleigh, the International Bluegrass festival, the last one held there. The next will be in Chattanooga TN.

October: Flew to Staten Island for 60th high school reunion! Yikes.

November: 

Headed out to Amtrak in NC to take the train to Washington DC. Hit a deer and my 2019 Chevrolet Equinox was totalled! I have a new car, a Chevrolet Blazer 3LT. Now I have to try to replace all my bluegrass stickers. Wound up flying. That night went to see the opera MacBeth at the Kennedy Center with fellow alumna Beatrice Kingston. The Kennedy Center is absolutely gorgeous! Still waiting for an appointment for Ron's knee surgery.
