This is our website to share our adventures in and out of North Carolina! Now retired, but for anyone who has not seen our Kinkead Ridge Winery Movie, which was a part of our lives for 12 years, click on the link below:
A Vineyard Year,
Nancy is so happy to be living in NC and playing bluegrass banjo. She recently bought a guitar for the house... she used to play and actually auditioned for Phil Spector in the 60s! That guitar, a Gretsch hollow-body single-pickup is long gone. Also a new toy, an autoharp.
Ron is happy with his ham radio friends and multiple towers.
On stage at Kruger Academy 2020, 2022, 2024/ Nancy played autoharp in 2024.

January: COLD! It is even snowing in New Orleans. Terrible fires in California.
Flew to New York City to join fellow Alumna Beatrice Kingston to go to the Metropolitan Opera to see Verdi's Tosca. Spectacular, and so was the pre-theater meal. See the video below.

We had the pre-theater dinner at
Rampoldis. Only two in the world, New York City and Monte Carlo.
Cocktail: Whiskey-sour like with marinated cherries
Bread selection. With Canadian butter and extra virgin olive oil and selection of olives
Appetizer: Yellow fin tuna carpaccio, guacamole, tomato chutney, olives; Beatrice had tuna tartare
My slices were so transparent you could almost see through them!
Entree: Wild Salmon, Asparagus, mustard cream sauce, onion, zucchini
Best salmon I ever ate, a large portion cooked perfectly medium rare
Dessert: Glace à lavande de Provence.
House made yogurt, lavender ice cream, pistachios, donuts, truffle honey, dark chocolate coin
Wine: Burgundy. Domaine Chanson Pere et Fils, “Le Borgogne”
Water: Still
Executive chef: Antonio Salvatore
Opera: Lincoln Center, Puccini, Tosca

February: 18th. Ron had replacement knee surgery and the recovery was much worse than his hip surgery. Three weeks in and he's still not in very good shape. March should show improvement! No travel plans.
